How Can You Use A Call to Action? INFLUENCE POLICY We’ve used A Call to Action to guide state level policies in New Hampshire and Connecticut where high school task forces are developing policies to support high school redesign. - Education Alliance at Brown University A Call to Action has been helpful in articulating how career technical education can and should be a part of the broader high school reform discussions. – National Association of State Directors of Career Technical Education Consortium A Call to Action is a useful resource for state legislators and supplements some of the publications NCSL and the NGA have done on steps for state action. – National Conference of State Legislators A Call to Action has been very helpful in condensing and focusing the high school policy discussions. – American Federation of Teachers INFLUENCE PRACTICE A Call to Action has the potential to provide a common, neutral framework for schools to assess what supports they have in place, those they need, and how different external providers can be aligned to support the school and district efforts. – National Academy Foundation We use A Call to Action in conversations at specific school sites as a framework that supports our Breaking Ranks process. – Education Alliance at Brown University The strategies presented in A Call to Action have helped us think about how best to support educators in the work of high school redesign. – School Redesign Network at Stanford University SUPPORT ORGANIZATIONAL MESSAGES A Call to Action has helped enhance our model and improve communication of its core elements. – National Academy Foundation In a variety of settings, we have used A Call to Action to illustrate that Breaking Ranks II fits into a larger view of high school reform. – National Association of Secondary School Principals We have referred our sites to A Call to Action for them to read and understand that other organizations are endorsing and supporting the implementation of the same type of reforms they are working on. – Academy for Educational Development, Schools for a New Society Tell us how you are using A Call to Action!
